Victor Township Final Road Plans and Budget
Posted on Apr 30th, 2017

We all need your help and support.  On the May 2, 2017 ballot there will be a proposal to renew the 1.5 mills for our roads.  The 1.5 mills has generated approximately $170,000 per year. Over the last number of years the road millage and funds from the Township General Fund has been used to improve roads all over the Township.  The budget over the past four years has exceeded $400,000 per year. This is especially true of the roads around Lake Victoria.  Ever since the millage was passed funding for roads around Lake Victoria has exceeded what was received from the millage.  The bottom line our roads have never been in better shape.  This summer’s budget calls for every road at Lake Victoria that has been reconstructed to receive a new layer as part of our effort to chip seal all new roads.  Chip sealing roads is now the accepted “best practice” to extend the life and quality of roads. Jason Road is going to receive a relined culvert where the creek enters the Lake.  Jason Road is the number 1 priority for reconstruction and will be part of the 2018 budget.  The road millage money is essential if we are to continue to improve our roads and keep Victor Township moving forward.   I hope you will join with me and vote to renew the road millage on May 2nd.
