Lake weed treatment

S & R Environmental will be conducting the first weed treatment of the year tomorrow, Wednesday May 15th. This treatment is targeting off shore exotic species, as well as near shore weeds and algae. The two primary targeted species are Eurasian Watermilfoil and Curley Leaf Pond weed.
Eurasian Watermilfoil has the ability to grow in extremely cold water temperatures as long it has access to sunlight. Curley leaf pond weed does not start to arrive until water temperatures start to warm. Because of the difference in growing traits between the two species, we have delayed our off shore exotics treatment until now to make sure we are able to effectively treat both species at once.

For best results S & R recommends that there be no boat traffic during the day the treatment is applied.
